Help! Crazy woman trapping/stealing cats! What do I do about her?
I know that lots of people trap feril cats, get them spayed/neutered and then re-release them. I know a woman who thinks its wrong to let cats roam free, even though its perfectly legal where we live. Plus she lives way out in the country where lots of cats roam free! She doesn't want them killing the birds at her bird feeders though and she traps these cats, and then takes them to the already filled up shelters and rescues!! They don't have space for any more cats at the rescues and I'm sure that a lot of these cats have owners! This woman is trying to teach these cat owners "a lesson" for leaving their cats roam! I think its ridiculous! Most recently she trapped a cat, the shelters wouldn't take it and she left it in the cage for several days, gave it food and water, but it died!! It was horrible! This woman thinks she is doing a good thing and she's very hard to convince otherwise. What should I do about her??
by killing that cat in the manner in which she did is animal cruelty. You should call the police. Animal cruelty in some places is a felony. and she could spend up to 20 yrs in prison and face a huge fine. Animal cruelty is no joke or laughing matter. I would start to take photos and video evidence to give to the police on her behavior. the more evidence you can provide the more likely she will get into some serious trouble.
