Can someone help me figure out what book this is called?
Ok i remember reading it in 6th grade.(VERY ROUGH DESCRIPTION) I think the title of the book was something relating to a tree. It was about a boy that got tired of the city life and wanted to live in nature so he left his family and went to live in the forest. He made a house by using fire to carve a hole in a giant tree. He made friends with a racoon and he went to a Peregrine Falcon's nest and he took an egg and hatched it and he raised the baby bird bigger and it hunted animals for him and in the story, there was a part where he left the fireplace burning in his house-in-a-tree and he went to sleep then his falcon fainted and they were suffocating because the fire was using all the oxygen. At the end, he made friends with a guy that was a robber or something. think his name was bandit or something like that. Please help me i really really want to read that book again. Its been 4 years since ive been trying to find the name of that book. THANK YOU SOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!

followed by "On the Far Side of the Mountain"
and "Frightful's Mountain".
